Tomás Cohen has published the poetry books Redoble del ronroneo (Buenos Aires Poetry, Argentina, 2016), Un árbol de luz íntima (Ediciones Bastante, Chile, 2019), Tríada mayor (Siesta Verlag, 2023) and Eine Sternwarte im Badezimmer (Elif Verlag, 2023). His poems have been translated into eight languages and published in international journals and anthologies. His work has been awarded scholarships by the Pablo Neruda Foundation and the National Book Fund (Chile), the Baltic Center for Writers and Translators (Sweden), Looren Translators' House (Switzerland) and the Berlin Senate (Germany). (since 2021). He has co-organised (since 2015) the multilingual reading series Hafenlesung in Hamburg and (from March 2023) he is artistic director of VOCATIONS, a series of new music and new poetry events organised by Haus für Poesie in collaboration with the Akademie der Künste. He was Editor-at-Large of Asymptote journal and is a board member of the association Unabhängige Lesereihen. Tomás studied Fine Arts, Art History and Musicology in Santiago de Chile and New York. After living in a Buddhist monastery in Kathmandu for two years, he studied Tibetan philology and Sanskrit in Hamburg. Tomás and his son Taro Sol live in Berlin.
